This Privacy Policy explains how JTerm ("the App", "we", "us") handles your information. JTerm is a terminal and SSH/remote-shell client for iOS and iPadOS. We have designed the App to keep your data under your control. We do not operate servers that collect your personal information.
JTerm does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information with us or any third party. We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, or tracking technologies. We have no user accounts and we do not require you to register.
To provide its functionality, JTerm stores the following data locally on your device:
This data lives in the App's sandboxed storage on your device and, where you enable it, in your private iCloud account. It is never sent to us.
If you enable iCloud sync, your connection profiles and settings are synchronized across your own devices using Apple's iCloud service under your Apple ID. This data is stored in your personal iCloud container and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no access to it.
When you connect to a remote host, JTerm communicates directly between your device and the server you specify. Your credentials and session data are transmitted only to that host, over the protocol you choose (for example, SSH). We are not an intermediary and we do not observe, log, or route this traffic.
Sensitive credentials such as passwords and private keys are stored using the device's secure storage facilities (such as the iOS Keychain) where applicable. You are responsible for safeguarding the devices and remote systems you connect to.
JTerm is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
